NJ for Haiti mourns the recent passing of our beloved Congressman Donald M. Payne Jr. Words seem inadequate to express the depth of our grief and the immense loss we feel as an organization.
From the very beginnings of NJ for Haiti, in the wake of the devastating 2010 earthquake,
Congressman Payne has been a pillar of strength and support. His unwavering commitment to the Haitian people shone brightly as he readily provided resources and championed our cause. He was a true champion for all, and his dedication to improving the lives of those in need knew no bounds.
Congressman Payne's legacy as a tireless advocate for Haiti and a champion for those in need will forever be etched in our hearts. His absence will be deeply felt, not only by our organization, but by all those he touched with his compassion and dedication.
We hold Congressman Payne's family and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the knowledge that his life's work has made a profound difference for countless individuals in his home state of New Jersey, Haiti, and throughout the world.
Though Congressman Payne is gone, his spirit of advocacy and unwavering support will continue to inspire us at NJ for Haiti. We will forever cherish his memory as we continue the vital work of serving the Haitian people.
In deepest sympathy,
The NJ for Haiti Team
